Marble baths are trending, so you can easily have that look, or one of a 5-star hotel bathroom with granite vanities, or the atmosphere of an Italian palazzo with terrazzo floors.
Since this vinyl can be cut in tile-sized pieces as well as planks (LVP) some will use that form also for the stone-looks. They feel the larger format/fewer seams makes it even more realistic.
Don’t stop with only stone looks
This vinyl can also mimic wood and ceramic tile. LVP is most often associated with wood. Images are taken with digital photography then cut into strips. The strips are then mounted on boards to mimic hardwood. Many take the realism to another level with LVT by using grout in the seams.
Everything is so amazingly realistic that it's often difficult for anyone, even the home decor experts to tell it from the real thing. Modern technology has given us 3D photography so the images show knots, grains, wormholes, and veinings. Colors are bold and vibrant and almost jump off the material.
Embossing gives floors depth and dimension with textured looks, such as wire-brushing, hand scraping, weathering, and distressed. Finishes are available in matte, gloss, or high gloss.
Affordable luxury
This looks like the real thing, but you won’t pay the price of natural materials. It’s also durable, with layering and a top clear aluminum-oxide wear sheet that protects the floor from scratches and scuffs. Spills sit at the top and wipe off easily and only needs regular sweeping and a periodic mopping. Installation is fast and uncomplicated with a click-and-lock, floating floor technique. For more information about luxury vinyl tile flooring and our other products, visit us at the First American Carpet & Floors showroom in Woodbridge or Stafford, VA.
